Dear Website Guest of the Reformed Church in Plano:
Thank you for visiting our website! Our congregation was engaged in active ministry and mission in the community of Plano for thirty-five years, beginning in 1978. Recently, through a thorough analysis of RCP’s current reality over the course of the past ten years and a prayerful discernment process that arose out of that analysis, our church leadership and regional governing body (called the classis) determined that it was time for the Reformed Church in Plano to end its ministry.
On January 26, 2014, the Reformed Church in Plano held its last public worship service. It was a day of both sadness and celebration; a day to look back as well as a day to look forward. While all of us are grieving the loss of this faith community, we are grateful to God for the incredible impact RCP had on Plano, the surrounding communities, our nation, and our world for thirty-five years. We also believe that—though our congregation has died—ours is a God of resurrection who will do a new thing through the members and friends of our congregation who affiliate with new faith communities.
We encourage you to check out some other congregations in our local area. We are blessed with a wide variety of strong and thriving ministries in Plano, and we do hope that God will bring you to a church home that leads you to grow through worship, discipleship, and mission.

Grace and Peace to you in Christ,
